First Class Journey In Tuesday’s lesson, firstly we talked about meaning of algebra. Algebra is very familiar term for us. We usually use this term our mathematics class. I know about algebra, it’s content. However I can not answer “what is the meaning of algebra”. I know what it is but saying it in a sentences is quite difficult. Moreover, We talked about history of mathematics. We discuss why did people created mathematics ? The main idea about this question is that earth and life is very complicated for people. In old years, meaning of life and understanding of complicated universe is more difficult for people. So, when they tried to understand earth, their environment they created math. Last part of the class, we talked about geogebra. I did not too much thing but I think geogebra is an interesting and useful tool. I am happy to learn using this tool.

    THE THINGS ABOUT ME      My name is Aybiçe Sadet Nurcan. I am 22 years old. I study in undergraduate program in mathematics education. It's my 7th semester in Boğaziçi University. I love science-fiction and fantastic universes. My favourite fantasy book series are The Earthsea cycle. Also, Harry Potter books are one of the best thing in my childhood. My favourite science fiction movie series are Star Wars Series. I love the old ones, first 6 episodes. I hate new movies. Moreover I love reading comic books. X-men comics are my favourite ones. I love the heroes and stories in this team.     As a new hobby, I am interested in art and independent movies. My favourite directors are Ingmar Bergman and Michael Haneke.
