Week 12 In last class we discuss about a non euclidean geometry. We try to discover this geometries' postulates and rules. It is very different experience for me. Moreover we also discuss about curiosity in our cultures. It is so true that we as a Turkish do not have not much curiosity. Curiosity has different meaning in our culture. We are not curious about learning or discover new things.
Week 11 In tuesday we worked on triangle inequality activity in PTMT book. I thought that this geometry skethpad activity is very helpful for stduents. They can understand meaning of triangle equality with this actvity easily. Then, we worked on stadium activity as well. In thursday, we done transformations on geometry sketchpad. I like working on this cause I think doing animations with transformation is very fun. As a teacher I thought that middle school students like this too. These type of activities can develop their creativity  and also they can have fun!

Week 10 In tuesday lesson we started geometry topic. We started to investigate geometry sketch plot. I tried to do activities on PTMT book. Then, we talked about Euclid's five postulates. In thursday, Kemal hoca told us his pre service students mistake about a probability question. And we work on our assignment.

Week 9 In tuesday class. We try to do simulation on excel. I think excel is useful tool but it's not appropriate for middle school student. It can be very boring for them. In class I do this simulations on excel.    On tuesday, we talk about carnival game and schoolpoly actvities. I still cannot finish to do this activities. Then I talked about Census at school. I think it is very wonderful source to teach statistic. There are a lot of data there and these are about children. Thus these can be entertaining for children.

Week 8 In Tuesday we talked about informal statistical data. Informal statistical data is based on data as evidence and it's mode uncertainty. We as a group, Kübra, Nermin and I try to use informal statistical data. And we create this codap work.
Week 7 This week we examine gapminder. There are a lot of data in this tool. Then, we try to explore this tool. We also watch videos about analyzing and interpreting data. In this video, data from gap minder are used. In thursday class, we begin to learn tinkerplot. I love tinker plot because there are various representation of data. We can see more than two variable on a one graph. I think it's very useful. The activity we have done about earthquakes is funny and helpful to learn about statistic.
Week 6 In Tuesday, we talked about differentiation between variability, variation and variance Variability: değişebilirlik : the level of variation in data set : uncountable : there is no such value Variation: değişkenlik : amount of the change Variance: değişim : change from a situation to situation They sound so similar but there are differences between them. And we talked about s tatistical habits of mind. The steps are:  1.always consider the content of data 2.ensure the best measure for and describe variation 3. anticipate look for and describe variation 4. attend the sampling issues: you need the sample which represent the population as good as it can 5. embrace the uncertainty but build confidence in interpretation: do your best the confidence in your interpretation 6. use several visual and numerical representation for making sense of data: graph etc. Make sense it for others 7. be a skeptic throughout the investigation In thursday we start to
